Purpose

The Technocratic Union of Kansas City, also known as Symposium #WV3200, maintains a powerful if discreet position. Its primary goals include the seizing of financial, industrial, and political assets that its supernatural opponents drop, such as acquiring the Camarilla's losses dating the city's backlash against Kindred a few years prior.

While many of the Union's enemies falter, it grows stronger. Naturally, with its interest in resources and influence among the Masses, the two most powerful Conventions are the New World Order and the Syndicate. But the other three Conventions are well-represented, too, in the following order of influence: Iteration X, Progenitors, and the Void Engineers last.

With rising success, the local Technocracy is more able and willing to devote more effort to other goals. Though only a handful are privy, Project: Invictus is well under way in Kansas City, as the Technocracy seeks to uncover the corruption Pentex (and its many local branches) have inflicted upon the Syndicate and Union at whole.

Protocols

All agents of this Symposium are to follow all standard protocols and the Precepts of Damian. This city's conservative attitude does not bear well a lot of deviance from those laws and guidelines. They are interpreted in the most fundamental manner. Of course, behind the strict attitudes lie the agency's clever manipulators, some of whom are in it for themselves, and others as pursuers of real justice.

The Pogrom

The Pogrom is not pursued with as much effort as certain agents (and the Iteration X at whole) would like. The Union does not go after "Reality Deviants" -- that is, any supernatural creatures out there -- without proper provocation. Therefore, RDs must misbehave quite regularly, or shatter the Rule of Shade/Veil/Masquerade (and avoid punishment from their own kind), before the Union intervenes. It is because of the Union's careful application of their war machine that subtle organizations, such as the Camarilla, survive and even prosper in this city. Meaner and less cautious groups, like the Sabbat and Ratkin, are constantly on the run from hunters...some of whom are Union-sponsored (or agents of the Union!). Iteration X looks for any excuse to unleash its legions on whoever the Symposium decrees as too dangerous to ignore.

Special Events

Special events are annual (or more frequent) holidays or special ritual days that the main group or groups observe as a whole community. Attendance and participation is often expected of all members, and sometimes required.

Quarterlies
Corporate earnings are reported quarterly. All Union corporations (not just the Syndicate) in the greater Kansas Ciy area report on the same dates: January 7, April 7, July 7, and October 7. During these occasions, Technocrats meet by Convention, Methodology, and/or amalgam to celebrate their output and discuss improvement. The events are only as stodgy as the specific groups want them to be. Syndicate Quarterlies are formal affairs (but champagne is imbibed) while NWO Quarterlies tend to involve lying about in a university department lounge with bowls of popcorn and beer.

“We are the future. Our outdated enemies draw their power only from the past, for they know their time is up.”
