Broken Citadel Game

Factions

The majority of Restless in the Kansas City necropolis are freewraiths, some stronger-willed than others. However, a good many belong to a Guild, Gang, or Heresy, such as these mentioned below.

Renegades
Most Renegade Gangs are small circles, the entire gang numbering no more than a dozen. However, some Gangs have spread throughout the Shadowlands, and maintain chapters in this necropolis, too. This includes the StormRiders, the Brotherhood of the Black Rabbit, the Concrete Shadows, and the Smoky Chains.

Guilds
Most of the Guilds have some small representation in this necropolis at least. The most influential are the Masquers, who are the closest thing to law and order in these Shadowlands. The Pardoners and Artificers are the next most influential. Puppeteers have a hefty amount of influence across the Shroud, violating the Dictum Mortuus on a daily basis. Monitors and Usurers keep up a profitable relationship together. Though they are few, the Chanteurs of Kansas City have an admirable reputation due to the city's blues history.

Heretics
There are few Heresies of standing in Kansas City. The Host and Children of the Green are two of the biggest in the Underworld, and they have members in this necropolis. So do the Lakemen and Speakers of the Dead. But one of the most frightening Heresies, which has roots in every major necropolis in the Underworld, is the Guild-blended Awakeners -- believers in Armageddon and guides for those who wish to return as the Risen Dead. (Therefore, it isn't surprising that on average the Walking Dead number about a dozen in this one city alone.)
