New Rites
The following links provide several new Rites available for Kuei-jin to learn. The Bamboo Tower's library may contain the knowledge needed to learn some of these ancient ceremonies. Otherwise, one must seek out a jina or mandarin for instruction.
Rites do not cost XP to learn, as in Werewolf. However, they do take time to learn. It takes approximately one week per level of Rite to learn. Every week of instruction requires an Intelligence+Rituals roll at a difficulty equal to (11 minus the character's Intelligence, minimum 6). The character must amass one success per level of the Rite to learn it, though the learning time cannot be shortened. If this roll is ever failed, the character must spend one Willpower Point to stay on track to continue learning. If the roll ever botches, the character cannot learn that Rite at all for at least 3 months (and depending on the mood of the teacher, possibly much longer).
