Little Asia
Key Sites
Electric Jazz (used auto lot)
Plenty of lot space features a few hundred Japanese imports in good condition and little mileage. Mazda, Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi rest in their own respective sections. The vehicles glitter in sunlight and spotlights come dusk. Tall fences surround the lot and a secure gate makes it very difficult for even accomplished car thieves to rip off vehicles, without raising a ruckus that a not-too-distant 7-11 convenience store could notice. Bright colors, banners, and sale slogans entice prospective buyers. Friendly, helpful, and extroverted sales persons bridge the gaps of doubt. Electric Jazz will stay in business for awhile to come.
OOC: There are no security guards or systems besides the sturdy fence gate that is closed only after hours (open from 9 AM to 9 PM).

High River Salvage (junkyard)
This junkyard rests upon the Blue River docks in Little Asia. Besides a few shacks where the junkyard keepers relax during the day, there's not much but discarded remnants of industry here. At night, the junkyard is shut off to the public and devoid of keepers. Only the shuffle of a few guard dogs may be noticeable. Piles of scrap tower over the junkyard's exterior, grimy brick walls. An automobile crusher and grinder, as well as a crane, stand tall in the center of the bare, hardened lot. A few deeply-imprinted tire tracks from large trucks can be seen. Piles of smashed vehicles stack up high all over the junkyard. This forms maze-like corridors that can make it difficult to locate the ramshackle huts. Beyond the huts, the bare lot's surface is paved roughly. This leads only twenty yards back as the walls give way to the lapping river just below the concrete wharves. More piles of scrap tower here, too, waiting for the slow return of river barges to carry the endlessly building junk away.
OOC: Only businesses and citizens whom pay for High River's services may dump here. Only scrap materials can be deposited: there's a city dump for garbage. The junkyard is open to paying customers to enter at will from 6 AM to sunset.

Merrywoods Sporting Track & Arena (recreational center)
Merrywoods boasts a huge complex spanning tens of thousands of square feet just outside the district proper. Multiple arenas and courts permit for the playing of many different popular sports. Soccer, football, indoor softball and tennis, and an ice rink for hockey or skating are all included here. The general gymnasium room comes equipped with basketball hoops, or as it is often done, it can be used for sanctioned martial arts tournaments. Next to all the arenas stand more recent expansion. In a huge quonset, a number of displaced construction pieces are position in a variety of ways. This place was clearly designed for stunt bicyclists, skateboarders, and rollerbladers.
A short drive out of urban center brings visitors to this popular place into a huge a parking area. The huge, round amphitheater-shaped structure rises at least one hundred feet. It bears a paint design reminiscent to circus tents: deep burgundy in hue, with thin green stripes down the sides. Two sets of large double doors lead visitors into the lobby and admission booths. Tickets for appropriate events and activities are paid for here. Often, customers will have to share an arena with others unless they reserve in advance (and pay a holding fee). Tickets are good all that day, permitting customers to bounce back and forth between events for which they paid. Booths in each section check tickets to keep cheaters out, and keep an eye on the participants. The entire complex is kept in excellent working order and very clean. The business also offers male and female locker rooms and a large concession stand not far from the entrance to the main complex. Bleachers encircle every different arena to give spectators easy, safe views. Behind the buildings, expansive grassy fields for football or other sports stay fenced off from the parking lot and the prairie beyond the city.
OOC: Ticket-keepers are instructed to just call the cops if people get violent. Merrywoods is open from 10 AM until 10 PM everyday except Saturdays, when they stay open until midnight. Staff is typically doubled over the summer. Rates are $5 for use of the external football fields and $10 for all of the internal arenas. A $15 fee applies for the ice rink (where skates can also be rented at additional charges), and $10 applies for the "stunt hut" (and users must sign waivers). This price applies per person. But group rates can be established for regular customers at a 20% deduction.
