The Court of the Silver Censer

Harmony in Death

The Court of the Silver Censer was established to pursue and advocate two major points. The first goal, the most important, is to keep a regulated field of protective patrol and guardianship over all the district. All disturbing forces, including elements of any Dark Kingdom, anarchic and troublesome Renegades, spectres and kuei, and abusive shen, are aggressively targeted when they are found in Little Asia. "In Little Asia" is defined by within the Five Winds Wall, which is a dark and forboding structure in the Shadowlands. Little tolerance is given to even loyal ghosts who are overcome by their Shadow halves. The Court impresses upon the population that because there is a positive and beneficial way to channel those darker emotions, negative expressions will not be tolerated!

The Court of the Silver Censer is also compelled to slowly culture and revise the thinking of the wraithly population of Little Asia. To date, the dead are much like the living: content to remain all but isolated from the rest of the necropolis. But the Court would like to see the rise of Families, just as they are back home in the Asian Underworld. The Court would like to guide the thinking of local freewraiths into a sense of duty to family, both their living and dead families. Because truly, this is America, and such beliefs are lacking. It is the Court's hope and plan that the Quick of Little Asia will also come to respect their ancestors more than they do, and thereby create a stronger sense of unity and harmony on both sides of the Shroud.

The Court hopes to accomplish both goals by first rousing the Restless to form bonds of camaraderie. By establishing a sort of freewraith militia and encouraging its propagation, this will help the district thrive in a more cultural sense -- and also establish a worthy force to confront any and all enemies.

The Laws of the Court

The Court of the Silver Censer obliges all policies of the Coalition of Little Asia: at least so far as they apply to the dead. They also have a list of rules, as follows:

1. In addition to the "dangerous" outsiders listed in the Policies of the Coalition of Little Asia, no spirit shall consort with members of any Dark Kingdom or Spectral Host.

2. Any consorting with these elements by other members of the Coalition must be reported to the Captain or Commander of this Court immediately.

3. No member of the Court is to extend diplomatic overtures to any other wraith-body in Little Asia or Kansas City without the Court's concession.

4. The Court shall pass on the Five Ways of Jade (the Asian Arcanoi) to no one outside the Court without explicit permission of the ranking members of he Court.

5. The Court shall observe a prudent reluctance to manifest all wraithly powers to the living; this does not include the shen of the Coalition of Little Asia.

Violation of any of these five policies will result in quick and harsh punishment, up to and including possible sentence to Oblivion. There is no excuse for wicked, unrighteous, or reckless behavior.
